What’s up with your signature, KGPBMc?
I didn’t get my name, Katherine, until I was 3 months old. I had a couple of other names before then, so my indecisive parents came up with a string of new names and stuck them all together: Katherine Glenn Powell Bell. I married to my husband, Christian McClure, in 2001 and took his last name to lengthen it a bit more.

What photos do you need?
Please email me a single photograph you would like to see reproduced as a painting. I primarily work from one photo, so if sending multiple photos, please let me know which one you’d prefer to see as a painting or drawing. The others will be for my reference only- getting additional detail of eyes, coat, nose, etc if needed. If you are in the Atlanta area and not satisfied with your own photos, I can come take photos of your pet(s) for you for $50.If you are commissioning a memorial painting of a pet, I will work with whatever images you have, no problem. If you only have hard copies, you can take a picture of the photos with your phone and email them to me.
What makes a good photo for a portrait?
I need to see correct eye and coat color, and this is best seen in outdoor photos/well lit areas/no flash. If you love a particular photo but your pet has red eye or is wearing a harness or sweater you don't want showing, I'm going to need additional photos. I will let you know if I can work with what you send me. The pose you want is most important- whether it's full body or head shot- so let me know which one is the picture I need to reproduce in a painting and which are for detail.
How do I pay for my piece?
I accept checks, Venmo, Zelle, Paypal with 3% added to cost, credit card with 4.5% added to cost.
Once I've completed the piece, I will send you a picture of it along with an invoice. If you are happy with the piece, please pay upon receipt. I will wait until payment is received before sending unless it is a rush order.
Shipping is added to cost depending on location. If you are local, you are welcome to pick up your piece at my studio.
Will you paint something other than my pet?
I'd be happy to, and I paint more than animals! I've been painting all sorts of animals for decades, so to see more examples, please visit katherine-mcclure.com. You are welcome to provide a photo just as you would of your pet, or I can provide options from my vast collection of photos.
